REQUIREMENTS FOR RETURNING VOLUNTEERS
IRS Process Based Training/Tax Law and TaxWise Online
Those who wish to continue in the Northern Virginia CASH/VITA Program to volunteer to assist in FREE tax preparation and filing for low to moderate income individuals in Northern Virginia are required to complete 3 hours of training (1.5 hours for PBT/Tax Law and 1.5 hours for Taxwise Online)
IRS CERTIFICATION TEST
Returning volunteers will need to become re-certified as a tax preparer through the completion of at least the Basic module of the IRS 2010 Link & Learn Taxes program and pass the current IRS certification exam.
